Golfing
Playa Dorada Golf Club is ranked one of the 100 best courses in the world and is designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The 18-hole course is set amidst the tropical vegetation of Playa Dorada Resort and is only 16 miles from Sea Horse Ranch, an approximately 35 minute drive.
Surfing
Encuentro Beach is located just a few miles away from Sea Horse Ranch. This spot is a popular surfing destination with consistent waves and a laid back atmosphere. It is especially well-liked by beginners and intermediate surfers. Even closer to Sea Horse Ranch is El Canal, a well known reef break which is a favourite with many expert surfers.
Kite surfing
Bozo Beach is the place that put the area of Cabarete on the map as one of the world’s kitesurfing havens and Cabarete Beach itself offers about 1.5 miles of beach break.
Beach excursions
Sosua Beach is considered the most important beach on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, inside a bay known for its crystal clear waters, great snorkeling and marine life. The beach is lined with trees that provide shade, very convenient for those who prefer to stay off the sun when it gets hot. It is a great beach for small children thanks to its shallow waters.
The natural beauty of Playa Grande is amazing. It is known for its golden sands backed by a verdant Caribbean Jungle. The beach is one mile long and is immediately followed by a more intimate beach, Playa Preciosa.
